How we source, rank and cite

Owner listings

Owner RVs come from the Outdoorsy and RVshare listing feeds, refreshed daily. We include listings within 50 miles of downtown Los Angeles that have a photo and a nightly rate. Pickup locations are shown by city only. Photos load from the platforms and are never copied.

Rental companies

Cruise America and El Monte RV facts are entered by hand from each company’s official pages. Each fact links to its page and shows the date we checked it. We don’t show their photos.

Road trips

Drive distances and times come from OSRM routing over OpenStreetMap data (car profile), so RVs will be slower. Campgrounds at each stop come from booking platform data. A campground’s maximum length is the longest site length it posts. RV length limits are quoted from the park agency’s own page.

Ranking and badges

Owner listings are sorted by their review record. Badges such as Most popular, Top rated, Great value, Rare find and Delivers to you need real data and a minimum number of reviews. We don’t publish the exact thresholds. Commission and platform never affect order or badges.

RV picker and “why this fits”

The picker matches RV types to your group, towing and driving comfort, using facts from local listings and cited limits. Each reason comes from a field the listing has; if the field is missing, we skip the reason.
